Mimosa’s & Homework

So how does that sound? To me: yummy, productive, yet fun. Really just a grand ole time! Or so I thought. In reality, this free spirited young sally I thought I was, is now tipsy and distracted, but hey I am having fun at Diggie’s. And I’m writing this, so I guess I am being productive.

Honestly though, this is a perfect segway into some deep shit I’ve learned since being here and well, since traveling in general: just go with it. This saying, while cliché, is such a good one. Accurate too. As someone who gets overwhelmed by making simple decisions, getting in the mindset of “just going with it” has changed the game for me.

Did I get excited by the idea of drinking a mimosa with my mate? Fuck ya I did.

Did I want to taste a citrus-y refreshing drink? Oh you betcha.

So did I get a mimosa with no stress? Just check out the picture below to find out.

Moral of the story: Don’t sweat the small stuff. Take time to get stuff done, but taking life too seriously is just a waste.

So, grab your computer, get that mimosa, and get to work.

Also: Diggie’s is a super cool spot in Wollongong. Beautifully located at North Gong Beach, it overlooks the beach with a lovely covered outdoor seating area and lots of tables inside, all with gorgeous views. The delicious menu features your basic yummy brunch items to some fancier renditions. While Diggie’s is not breaking the bank per say, it definitely would be a bit of a splurge on a backpackers budget. It would make a lovely spot to treat yourself to a brunch with friends.

I recommend the Turmeric latté for a warm and flavorful drink. The mimosa has a hint of passionfruit, if you’re looking to spice up your morning.

For a cheaper option, head to Diggie’s Kiosk right next door for a quick bite. A great option for takeaway invites many to sit on the picnic tables outside and chat with friends, while catching some rays. The light salty breeze and breathtaking view create an ideal spot to grab a coffee and get some work done.
